[laughter] if obama is reelected and it is looking that way, i was not pandering, but i was making another one of our excellent productions. i don't think any of the conservatives will leave voluntarily. that is starting to be a pretty old court in justice kennedy and justice leah -- they are both 70 sixer sold. you know, you don't always get choice. i think that if romney wins, ruth bader ginsburg will try to hold on for the next four years. if obama wins, kennedy and scalia will try to hold on, but you never know what'll happen. >> can you speculate wh

could gary johnson help obama get a second term? >> guest: well, in four states they have actually put this question. in new mexico and in colorado, i take more votes away from obama in north carolina and michigan, i take more votes away from romney. i'll just say i think a wasted vote is voting for somebody you don't believe in. that's a wasted vote. and i want to make a pitch here this morning. i want to make a pitch that everybody go out and waste their vote on me, gary johnson, and you know what? i'm the next president of the united states. and based on my resume, there is nothing to suggest that not only can i do this job but i would do a really good job at it. >> host: next call, richard from new york. thank you for waiting. you're on with gary johnson. >> caller: i appreciate what you did with the one debate we mentioned, ron paul there. you and him should have been a good team. the only other choice we have besides ron paul is you. i talked to ron paul on this program before -- down in tampa. but you know? they say the lesse

we will hear from obama. initially, we saw this in the polls, this has resonated, their traditional scare seniors about medicare tactics. that has been working really well. so i think obama will bring that up. one thing we will hear is the phrase that romney would end medicare's guarantee, which is a phrase the democrats have liked to use recently. we have raided that half-true for two reasons. one, it is not like it really has a guarantee now. congress can change the medicare benefits any time it wants to. it frequently has. now, romney would change the structure in which people would pay for medicare. it would go from being -- it would turn into the essentially a voucher plan. in that sense, we found some truth and rape -- rated as half- truth. >> thank you, bill. our next prediction from glenn kessler, checker of facts, a worker of pinocchios -- awarder of pinocchios. what will we see? >> i have two. they both deal with medicare. one thing i always say, the more complicated a subject is, the more susceptib

i think when i look at the history of the issue, it goes back to the election of the president obama and the real energy he brought on the campaign trail in 2008 to the question of transparency and the kind of government i think we all envision. from my perspective by about 2010, that energy had kind of dissipated and a lot of efforts have gone toward a lot of things and we were not seeing that sort of dramatic transformation that a lot of us could visualize. we could imagine knowing what the power of data is but it wasn't happening very much. that caused me to do some work that i will describe here that resulted in some grades that i talked about. grading is a cruel art but sometimes it's a necessary art to communicate things. what i did was i looked at the problem of sort of lacking transparency efforts around 2010. it looked to me like maybe the transparency community hadn't communicated well enough to the government decide what side what it was we wanted to go a lot of efforts have gone out there that didn't really have a direction the direction or a destination and so i sat down
